Welcome to Caves Christmas
In late 2012 I saw an article on a morning breakfast show about Computerised Christmas Lighting. I had seen some of these in previous years on the evening news and the like and wondered how they did it. Well something on that breakfast program really sparked my interest. It was then I decided that I'd like to have a crack at learning how it's done. I did a quick Google search and came across the AusChristmasLighting website. It truly is a fantastic site with members dedicated to all things Christmas Lighting. I joined and was made very welcome immediately. Many members offered open friendly advice and guidance. The C.L.A.P. (Christmas Lighting Addiction Problem) as they call it, had begun. Herein lies the story so far.....
So check out some of the pages. 2013 will hopefully be my first year a lighting show sequenced to music. I will endeavour to share some of my new found passion with you.
Well, it's now November 2014 and the time for lights on is nearing. I have been working hard over the past months to pull everything together. Last weekend I started putting up some lights. The old Big W lights are in place and have been tested. All good so far. All my elements are made and my fingers are crossed that all work as they did in testing. Next weekend will see the other elements of the show go up (hopefully) and then I should do some more testing with a planned start date of Saturday 29 November around 8.30pm. I will try to get some photos & possibly video over the coming weeks
